Crunches:
I Want Them to Be Easy.
They
Aren’t.
Crunches.
Every day. In October, my daughter watched me do crunches and said, “Mom,
crunches: You’re doin’ it wrong.” I now do them right. Every day (or most
days). They aren’t easy—yet. Each day, as I begin, I want them to be easy—or easier.
They aren’t and I’m disappointed—every day. Today, eight months on, I realized
they might not ever be easy. I also
realized that is no longer important. What is important is that I continue to
do them.
In
life, many things aren’t easy, but that is no reason to stop doing them. Nor
should that lack of ease keep you from starting hard things.
Want
to start something? Is it hard? Don’t let that stop you.
